As the second quarter of 2024 begins and spring rolls into the northern hemisphere, progress on the SORA Integrated Plan is steadily advancing. With impressive phenomena such as a solar eclipse as the backdrop to this month’s updates, the SORA community is primed for a great season of innovative releases to shape the upcoming year.
We start with Kensetsu this time, development is progressing slowly but surely, and with the stars in alignment, internal testing will begin soon, while the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse brings with it some interesting news about Kensetsu, namely its logo and the logo of Kensetsu USD.
Insights into Aggregate Liquidity Technology were shared last month, and the community can look forward to trying it out soon, as the development rolls into internal testing. Once that is ready, public testing will ensue and your support will be much appreciated. Polkaswap stands to benefit greatly from this implementation, which is bound to provide the best outcome for trades in the entire Polkadot ecosystem, if not for all of crypto!
To foster the interconnectivity of the Polkadot network, HRMP channels are the one-stop connection between ecosystem chains. However, not all Substrate chains are connected to HRPM, as is the case of the Liberland sovereign country’s blockchain, which shares the same underlying technology, but is not a parachain. In this case, a bridge will connect SORA and Liberland, allowing citizens of this sovereign state to trade their assets with style and freedom, and supporting others to become citizens by providing a marketplace to access the country’s economy. As a supporter of visionary blockchain-based tools to strengthen economies, this is a great step forward in improving the world through inclusive technologies that make finance more efficient and resilient.
On the mobile side, SORA Wallet developers are working closely with Fearless Wallet to strengthen the DeFi features available on Fearless. Adding the ability to make liquidity provision on the go, as well as access the Demeter Farming platform (DeFi’s best-kept secret), SORA users will have access to their pools and Demeter farms wherever they are, from Paro to Timbuktu. Meanwhile, SORA Card will also be available on Fearless wallet, while work is ongoing to prepare for the second phase, where you can swap your cryptocurrencies for fiat to top up the debit card.
Last time we mentioned the AMA with the Palmatrix team, as the community voted to implement their RFP to integrate the Palmabot. The first milestone payment has been released (more information in the RFP section of the updates) and Palmatrix continues to build their integration for SORA. Stay tuned for more updates on this upcoming feature!
On the other hand, Curio DAO and SORA are working on opening an HRMP channel, after the community approved the listing of the VAL — USDC pair on the Capital Dex. There was a pause on the integration, but everything is back on track! Read the AMA here for a refresher on what was discussed and keep an eye out for SORA XCM with the Curio parachain!
The first generation of SORA Builders, Ceres, has been making plenty of progress. With the Apollo claiming period finalised, you can expect an airdrop soon! Additionally, the Apollo token has been whitelisted by the community in Polkaswap, so you will see it as soon as you get it. On the other hand, the Apollo protocol is ready for testing! Try it and give the team your feedback and praise for this innovative platform!

- Collaborating with Polkadot and Kusama parachain teams to open HRMP channels and augment the asset trading offering on SORA and Polkaswap!

Kensetsu (Github milestone)
- The team is working on potential edge cases to improve the user experience
e.g.: repaying debt while it is increasing at every block - The QA team is working on the implementation of test cases and automated tests
- Collaborating with the Polkaswap team to release on the public test environment in April
Aggregate Liquidity Technology (Github milestone)
- Released a small runtime upgrade to modify the response from
liquiditProxy.quoteto accommodate for the cases where the trading fee is returned in a different asset depending on the liquidity source (XOR, XST, XSTUSD) - The team is now investigating the weights and exploring potential issues linked to big trading route that might result in failing the transactions
- The upgrade has been merged into the private test environment, and the QA team can now start testing it
Substrate bridge (Github milestone)
- Working and collaborating on adapting the bridge to connect to a non-parachain Substrate-based chain. This chain is developed by a sovereign country.
- The first transfers of the assets on the public test were successful!
- The team is now collaborating on enabling the bridge on the Polkaswap public testnet.
Multi-EVM bridge (Github milestone)
- Working on the fee structure.
📱 SORA Wallet Updates
- Focusing on collaborating with the Fearless team to implement liquidity provision and Demeter Farming in Fearless Wallet
- Synchronising with the Fearless team to plan the integration of SORA Card on the Fearless Wallet.
SORA Card
- Working on the implementation of the main feature for the Phase 2:
Crypto ←→ Fiat conversion - Synchronising with external partners on the fixes and updates of their development resources;
- Synchronising with the external partners to implement inter-app communication (SORA Wallet ←→ Fiat wallet) and start issuing the physical and digital cards.

Ceres Updates
The Ceres team has been very busy this month! Updates include:
- The HMX-XOR Pair is now available in the Polkaswap Order Book!
- The Apollo claiming period has finished, an airdrop will distributed it all at once, stay tuned!
- The Apollo token has been officially whitelisted on Polkaswap!
- The Apollo Protocol code has been approved and merged, and will be live on Testnet.
- The record-breaking Hermes DAO Q1 2024 Asset Report is out.

The Demeter Farming platform is available on the SORA network for users to farm with liquidity pool LP or single-sided staking with interesting APR*. New pools are constantly added, too. - 80 — The first milestone of the Palmatrix RFP has been paid out.
- 90 — MECATRON proposes a decentralized communication protocol for SORA and is looking for builders to support this initiative.
- 91 — This proposal requests the creation of a two-step verification for remittance transactions.
SORA governance will pick up the proposals with community input and consensus to propose referendums for their implementation. You have the power to decide which features progress! The future of SORA is in your hands!
